Steve Walters leads a public sector team dedicated to helping government work better. He guides the design and deployment of solutions that strengthen mission resiliency, empower the modern workforce, accelerate government’s efforts to improve customer service, and enable data-driven decision-making. Under Steve’s leadership ServiceNow has evolved from being used primarily as an IT service desk solution to becoming a trusted platform for digital transformation of mission-centered activities for agencies across government including modernizing the employee lifecycle, supporting zero trust, managing portfolio sprawl, and much more.
Steve brings a deep experience and an even deeper passion for supporting the work of our nation’s public servants. He has held leadership positions with Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard (HP), where he expanded the reach and impact of enterprise technologies across DoD and civilian agencies.
As a Captain in the U.S. Army, Steve served in a variety of staff and leadership billets including his last assignment as a company commander in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University and a Master of Business degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
