Shannon Hughes

Shannon currently serves as the Cybersecurity Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) program manager in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at DOE. In this role, she oversees the C-SCRM governance, operations, and enhancement teams in planning and executing the program.

Prior to joining DOE, Shannon served in the private sector in multiple roles across the defense, security, and healthcare industries. She has been a program manager for several government and intergovernmental clients including Department of Navy, DOD, DOJ, ATF, FDA, DEA, NASA, and the World Bank.

Shannon is also a proud Navy veteran, having served as a Surface Warfare Officer on two combat tours and deployments onboard an aircraft carrier and command ship. Shannon excels in building partnerships, relationships, and teams. She is PMP certified and received her BA degree from University of Virginia and an MBA from George Washington University.
