Liz Persell

Liz Persell has worked for the federal government for nearly 30 years. She started as an entry level human resources specialist with United States Securities and Exchange Commission and made a life changing move in the early 2000s when she joined the Department of Treasury’s HR Connect team, deploying a state-of-the-art Employee Portal with employee and manager self-service modules.

After stepping away from technology for a brief period, she joined DHS and worked on a Department-wide automated staffing tool and participated in a year-long review of agency-wide human resources technology platforms. She spent seven years at Customs and Border Protection leading a team that documented business processes and developed workflows to streamline hiring, position management, performance management, and a host of other human resources business functions.

Liz is currently the Director of Human Resources Information Systems for the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, where she successfully deployed Onboarding and Offboarding tools that marry Service Now’s IT Services Delivery, HR Service Delivery, and Workspace Planning Modules.
