Dustin Goetz

Mr. Dustin Goetz currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director for the Headquarters Operations Division (HOD) within the ITOD (Information Technology Operations Directorate of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

In this role, he oversees IT operations and is responsible for providing secure, reliable, and redundant Information Technology support to the Department and the Management Directorate, which includes approximately 15,000 personnel in offices across the country and more than 30 major sites throughout the National Capital Region. Mr. Goetz previously served as the Deputy Executive Director of the Solutions Development Directorate (SDD) of DHS OCIO, where he led a team of 400 professionals in managing over 100 enterprise applications. His leadership resulted in streamlined project prioritization, optimized costs, and improved service delivery, achieving significant cost savings for taxpayers while enhancing employee and customer experiences.

Mr. Goetz also has previous service as division chief of IT operations and enterprise operations at DHS, spearheading the consolidation of cybersecurity and network operations and achieving significant efficiency improvements and cost reductions. His strategic leadership was pivotal during the SolarWinds cyber incident, and he also served as Senior Advisor to the CIO at the Department of State and within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Mr. Goetz has also held senior leadership positions in the private sector, including Vice President of Operations at Telesis Corp. and Endeavor Systems Inc. and Chief Operating Officer at Barling Bay LLC. He managed contracts worth up to $250 million in these roles, delivering secure IT solutions to federal agencies while driving strategic business improvements.

Mr. Goetz holds a Bachelor of Science in business Management and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is also a graduate of the DHS Candidate Development Program (CDP).
