As the AFS Cyber Practice Lead, Rick Driggers, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity and Assistant Director for Integrated Operations for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), provides cybersecurity and critical infrastructure security expertise and leadership to help guide the company’s information and operational technology security and holistic security business initiatives.
An expert in critical infrastructure security operations and cyber defense strategy and policy, Driggers brings 15 years of national security experience within the Joint Special Operations Community, combined with over 17 years of homeland security expertise leading complex programs within the Intelligence, Critical Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity Communities focused on advancing policies and programs to improve the country’s ability to assess and manage risk and enhance our Nation’s infrastructure resilience.
Driggers works with Accenture’s Federal clients to promote an increased understanding of the threat and vulnerability landscapes, identify best risk management and mitigation practices, and provide greater insights to national critical functions, mission dependent assets, and mission assurance. Driggers has deep experience in providing operational practices that can be implemented to enhance full spectrum security and risk management initiatives to advance mission success. Driggers also served as the Principal Deputy Director for Operations for the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) at CISA. Additionally, he supported the President’s National Security Council as the Director for Data and Systems Integration Policy and the lead for developing the Climate Resilience Toolkit called for in the Presidents Climate Action Plan.
A former United States Air Force Combat Controller, Driggers deployed as a member of many U.S military and international Special Operations units conducting high risk missions in austere environments. He has received multiple military awards and decorations to include the Jumpmaster Parachutist Badge, the Military Freefall Jumpmaster Badge, Special Operations Combat Dive Supervisor Badge, and the U.S. Army Ranger Tab.
He holds a B.S. in Applied Science and Technology and is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Senior Executive Fellows Program.
