Jonathan serves as the Chief of IT Systems Planning for the Air Force HAF/A1 (Manpower, Personnel, and Services). With deep expertise in IT platform management and strategic alignment, Jon oversees the digital transformation of the HR Management portfolio, leveraging platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Outsystems, Oracle, D365, and Envision. He provides visionary leadership and comprehensive oversight of enterprise-level activities, including architecture, acquisitions, human-centered design, and governance. In his role, Jon develops and enforces strategic roadmaps aligned with organizational goals, chairs strategy governance meetings, and leads IT Demand and Requirements Management. Dedicated to ensuring technology initiatives drive cost reduction, enhance user experiences, and achieve strategic objectives, he has been recognized for his work on significant initiatives, including the re-integration of Warrant Officer ranks and enterprise modernization strategies.
Jon’s leadership extends beyond internal operations, embodying the face of A1 to stakeholders across various domains. He has led cross-functional teams in developing integrated solutions and managing strategic portfolios, fostering innovation and enhancing governance structures to align IT with business priorities. His contributions include managing a Human Resource IT portfolio of 115 major systems with an annual budget exceeding $150 million and spearheading modernization efforts that impact over 5 million Department of the Air Force personnel.
Before assuming his current role, Jon served as a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance contractor for the United States Space Force, providing expertise in ISR integration, policy development, and modernization efforts. His work supported critical defense initiatives, including streamlining intelligence workflows and integrating advanced systems to meet mission objectives.
Earlier in his career, Jon worked as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst, providing critical intelligence support for military operations. From 2019 to 2022, he led teams at USAG Humphreys, South Korea, where his expertise supported U.S. Forces Korea operations. Before that, he contributed as an analyst for BAE Systems, delivering actionable intelligence to drive mission success.
Jon started in the U.S. Air Force as a Cryptologic Language Analyst and Airborne Special Intelligence Operator, supporting U.S. and allied operations, including deployments to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. Over a 10-year military career, he held positions as a language analyst supervisor, mission operator, and collection manager, exemplifying his dedication to excellence and mission success.
Outside of work, Jon is passionate about fostering innovation, professional mentoring, and thought leadership. He actively engages in public speaking and participates in key industry events.
